A CHARITY THAT USES THE POWER OF FILM TO TRANSFORM LIVES
GMAC Film is not a regularly funded charity – we operate through a combination of grant funding and generated income. You will already know that the work we do with our target groups of young people is free at the point of delivery. Your support will allow us to turn plans into actions and create much needed opportunities for more young people.
We are launching this campaign to enable us to continue our journey to becoming a sustainable social enterprise with your support. To this end we are offering FREE MEMBERSHIP to all, so that you can help guide the development of the company for the next three decades! You will also be invited to our AGM and receive invitations to screenings and special occasions. In return we want your help to raise sponsorship and donations.
Your support will go towards delivering filmmaking programmes to young people, many of whom are living in Scotland’s most deprived communities, living in care, young carers, from ethnic minority communities and/or disabled. Our programmes have a proven positive impact on young people and their communities, developing personal and social skills in a fun and inspiring group setting.
Your support will also go towards promoting diversity and equality in the Scottish film industry. Film has an impact on changing attitudes, people & landscape – let’s work towards a better reflection of society on screen and behind the camera.
